Shelby Chase, Attorney
Shelby’s determination and commitment to excellence has been evident from the beginning, whether it was earning a spot in the Florida Atlantic University Honor Society, or making the Dean’s List and Trial Team in Law School.
After graduating cum laude at FAU she earned her J.D. at Widener University School of Law in Delaware. But her accomplishments aren’t just academic, as she proved in the countless cases she litigated as an Assistant Public Defender in Ft. Lauderdale, where she was honored as attorney of the year, and as Vice President/General Counsel for a company in the private sector.
Shelby describes herself as a fighter, and certainly has the right to do so. As a public defender, she once had a juvenile client stuck in the sexual offender program despite never having committed a sexual offence. After multiple hearings and long hours, she finally succeeded in having him released from the program.
As busy as she is, you may think that Shelby only has time for work, but she still finds the time to accompany her husband to the NASCAR races in which his team competes, and loves to spend time with her two dogs. Her favorite way to relax is simply by spending time with family or friends, whether it’s boating, attending races, or just enjoying their company and sitting around the dinner table talking.
