Renee Flam, Life Transition Coach

Renee Flam

Renee's most recent endeavors include her beginning to learn Spanish. Adding the new language to her repertoire will allow her to expand her practice as a Psychotherapist, and for the Rosen Law Firm as a Life Transition Coach, to the Hispanic community.

In her practice of almost 20 years, Renee has worked with families, couples, children, and adults in general life transitioning. She specializes in affective disorders, depression, and anxiety disorders. She has also led workshops for other clinicians on the use of metaphor in working with children, has taught at Oakland University in Michigan and has given parenting classes at various schools in her local community.

When Renee isn't helping others, she loves to be with her family, traveling and spending time outdoors. She's an artist as well, and enjoys occasionally showing her works locally and also bringing her creativity into her work as a clinician.

She holds a Bachelors degree in Psychology and Employee Relations from Michigan State University and a Masters in Clinical Social Work from the Simmons School For Social Work. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a member of the Academy of Clinical Social Workers and a member of the North Carolina Society for Clinical Hypnosis.

When it comes to helping people transition in life, Renee is very qualified. She used to volunteer for an ongoing cutting-edge workshop in Michigan called 'SMILE' (Start Making It Livable for Everyone). The program helped attendees make better parenting decisions while divorcing.

Her clients say that she clearly loves her work, is genuine, and understands the importance of true empathy in the role of psychotherapist.
